Although the phrase "jack of all trades, master of none" is commonly cited, many overlook its concluding part:

"better than a master of one."

I've dedicated myself to mastering various domains, and in doing so,  discovered an exciting intersection among them.

Genesis

As a creative individual, my aspirations are rooted in crafting a universe founded upon originality. This path is marked by a continuous process of experimentation and refinement, always in pursuit of excellence.

Nine years ago marked the genesis of my journey, intertwining my musical expertise with the conception of a character named Sagas. Motivated by a sketch drawn in my youth, I embarked on the task of crafting a mask for Sagas. Initially, my endeavors began with rudimentary materials, evolving progressively towards the integration of more refined and professional components.

3 piece

tech mask

The 3 piece mask is light weight, durable and simple to construct. There is no post production or paint needed to finish. All colors are applied in advance by choice of resin. As most mask straps would have to be worn on the back of head; these straps are comfortable and effective enabling wearer to hide on the upper part of ones neck. Great for hiding under hair and possibility to where hats. As a plus, the mask can be worn around neck for food and drink.

Inventory and Accessories

I've created and developed a range of products, from masks to various accessories, all showcasing a distinct style. The designs draw from punk, alternative, and metal themes, yet they are ingeniously reimagined through the lenses of techwear, modern streetwear, and cyber-core aesthetics.  The color scheme predominantly features white print on black and is complemented by translucent acid green accessories.  Utilizing semi-transparent resin in 3D printed designs adds a dynamic dimension, breaking up the overall dark clothing aesthetic.

BACKGROUND

BACKGROUND

I began 3D designing buildings based off of blueprints in Secondary School.  I graduated after completing two classes in 3D printing with high praise from my teachers.  Years later I was re-introduced to FDM printers.  My foundational skills in 3D digital design became a huge asset as I began printing masks.

Hand sculpting yields an inherently organic essence, as no two faces are perfectly symmetrical. Crafting each piece demands considerable time and artistry, often spanning many hours. Interestingly, the fundamental principles of sculpting and its tools seamlessly transition to digital sculpting software. Yet, in today's market, there's a notable emphasis on symmetry and flawlessness, rendering the transition invaluable.

photoshoots and

products

Having successfully executed a wide array of product and ambient photoshoots, I am thoroughly prepared to undertake the branding and inventory photography for Proxy. My portfolio in product photography encompasses a diverse range of projects, including consumable goods for La Microbrasserie Hop Station, guitars for Les Guitars Marchand, masks for Krooked FX, apparel for Nvmecode and Nayma Creation, and leather craftsmanship for Toxic Leather. In the realm of ambient photography, I have contributed to capturing the essence of events such as the Groove and Bass Festival and Future Forest Festival, in addition to numerous other branding initiatives. My role as an assistant camera operator and lighting technician on film productions like Entre-deux, Amours de Vélo, and Ils Étaient has enriched my professional understanding of visual storytelling and lighting techniques.

"Empty", scene 31 of "Phantom Proxy", was filmed on Dec. 7th, 2022. The filming process took 11 hours to complete, with the final product expected to be a 3-5 minute scene. This scene was the first segment to be filmed from the 15-page, bilingual script written by Keegan Richmond.

Custom

Contracts

M Huncho is a UK based rapper who wears a mask. I’ve completed 2 separate replica contracts. Version 1 was for a client in Scotland and version 2 in England.

Version #1

in creating custom masks,  I’ve developed some of my best and most detailed works within these private contracts.  Using photogrammetry, I scanned the dimensions of clients faces to build masks off of their features and specifications.

3D digital Design and printing

  • After years of practice with handmade sculptures and the calculation of cost of materials and time; it became evident that results of 3D modelling and 3D printing would be cleaner and more cost efficient.

  • FDM prints opened the doors to exceeding quality of work. The only pitfall was that printing with PLA plastic would leave textured layer lines that needed to be sanded. FDM printing still has its purpose, depending on the project, but overall the extra time spent in post processing would drive the final cost of products too high.

  • Mask sales has proven that clients want perfection at a low cost. The goal is to minimize production costs while delivering a product that is attractive and simple. Through the uses of UV resin printers; I can deliver a result with less time spent into painting and finishing. Instead, the direct results of color and surface texture can be easily packaged and sent.

“Simple production, high end results, at affordable costs”
